Behind the My Custom Cake brand is a self-taught baker, Saniya Khalid. Developed a passion for baking since 2020, and now turning her hobby into business.
Baking has always been a therapy for me. I specialize in italian meringue buttercream which is way more lighter, fluffier and less sweeter than american buttercream.
I enjoy making luxury as well as gourmet products for my clients, and i work closely with all my clients to bring their unique vision and aesthetic to life.” I strive to curate each and every dessert with love and quality ingredients for your events , be it birthdays, baby showers, anniversary, wedding, eid or christmas, My Custom Cake has got it all covered. How It All Started
We eat with our eyes first", I believe in this and so I enjoyed plating food in a beautiful,elegant and presentable way.
Food has always been therapeutic for me, whether its making it or eating it, but baking was just not my cup of tea until Covid hit us.
The first thing that caught my interest was the baking aisles of supermarket, the pretty nozzles, spatulas, edible decor, molds, etc. I would spent a lot of time in those aisles and wondered how creative i could get with it.
And then we faced the lockdown during Covid, thats when i spent hours watching baking videos on youtube and saving delicious desserts from Pinterest,soon i got hooked onto it and little did i know that baking would become my passion
We have plans, but God has different plans for us. With Gods help and my amazing family's support, i turned my passion into business and this is how "My Custom Cake" came into existence AH.
My vision is to create a neighborhood bakery that provides a warm, inviting space where people can enjoy freshly baked, high-quality pastries and breads made with locally sourced ingredients, while fostering a strong sense of community through special events, baking classes, and much more.
My goal for "My Custom Cake" is to be a part of every occassion in Texas and beyond and make their sweet moments sweeter with our desserts iA".
